Agenda and Procedure

Competitors will be requested to do the following procedures:

Freestyle - Each competitor has 45 seconds (Under 12yrs 25 seconds; 12 & Under 16yrs 35 seconds) to perform a routine and/or display their skills. Anything goes.

Stationary Target (1) - Competitors must strike 3 stationary targets (cans). One go at each can only.

Stationary Target (2) - This will require competitors to cut paper targets from a “T” framed stand which will have a target at each end of the horizontal bar (2 metres apart) and a third vertical target in the centre. The horizontal targets will be at a height of 1 metre. Competitors have two goes at each target. More points are awarded when there is an audible whip crack sound when striking target.

POINT SYSTEM AS FOLLOWS:

Appearance: Competitor should present themselves and their whips to judges. Points max. 10.

Style: Looking for confidence, well rehearsed routine. Points max. 10.

Performance: Competitors should be able to show their ability to competently crack a whip in both single and multiple cracking from either hand. Points max. 10.

Accuracy: Ability to successfully hit several targets, best points for cracking whip before hitting target. Points max. 10.

Originality: Looking for uniqueness in cracking style and performance. Points max. 10.

The starting line will be seven feet from the target. One bonus point will be given for a seven foot whip and two bonus points for an eight foot whip.
